how do you know that you're right, if you're not nervous anymore?

ph. by me.

Saturday. Lovely.
I have a millions things to do. Catch up with a friend over coffee, meet up with the girls since all of us finally are gathered again,
my grand mother's 85th anniversary, where I'm supposed to sing - and what happened?
I'm sick. Great. But I'm going to make the best out of it.

Have lovely saturday.

ben & jerry's for breakfast.

Yes, please.

ph. by me from a sleepover with the girls in August.

I would love pancakes and Ben & Jerry's for breakfast today. My throat is very sore and I feel my voice disappear little by little. I have work at 16, which explains my absence the last days. December is such a busy month. If I'm not at work, I'm trying to finish shopping for christmas gifts or catch up with my friends who is coming home from every corner of the world these days. Busy month, but I enjoy it.

I'll come back stronger next week, with some inspiring quotes before christmas and some amazing pictures I want to share with you.

Hope you all are doing well - and remember to enjoy the busy days before christmas. Don't forget to sit down with a good book, a cup of tea and lit candles to stress down. Make ginger bread with your boyfriend. Call your friends, gather and make christmas cards together while watching Love Actually. Watch a movie with your family.
Have a lovely pre-Christmas rush!
xx,
RP.

confessions of a king.

photos by me.

Bling (Confessions of a King) - The Killers.

Just a little photo diary from November 30th, same day as the iPad was launched in Norway.
I walked through the city after work with a coffee in one hand and my camera in the other, enjoying the ice cold, but lovely weather.
Oslo is such a beautiful place to be when the sun is shining - whether it's summer and warm or winter and freezing.
It's therapy for the soul taking a walk in the streets of Oslo on a day like this. While walking around taking pictures
I had my earphones and my iPhone providing me randomly selected music. Springsteen, R.E.M, The Killers,  Dylan, Cash,
Uncle Tupelo and Lyle Lovett among many others kept me in good company while I was wandering around in the lovely winter weather.

iPad launch and blog reflections.

ph. by me.

Tuesday November 30th the long-desired iPad was finally launched in Norway. It was such a great day. I started work at 06.30 and we had so much fun. We were at work in time to see the sun rise of this ice cold morning and I also learned that my boss has read my blog. He obviously had a hard time sleeping this one night and found the link to my blog. Well, my blog is out there for everyone to read, but it made me think.
Why do I blog and who do I blog for?

Well, I started blogging to inspire people, and it gave me a vent for my thoughts. I kept blogging because I have a passion for photography and I love to share inspiring quotes, photos and ideas with others. What gave me the inspiration and the motivation to keep blogging is all the comments and mail I receive back from you. All the lovely feedback from fellow bloggers from all over the world. On a daily basis I receive mail from all across the globe, USA, Thailand, Australia, Hawaii, Iceland - everywhere! I love the fact that my blog makes a small difference in someones life. That someone find one of my photographies inspiring, someone got a better day after reading a quote I posted and that someone found my blog and recommended it to others. It means tremendously much to me that people like what I do. And I appreciate that you take the time to tell me what you think, giving me feedback and sending me e-mails. I answer every mail I get, and usually I keep contact with my readers - and it makes me feel privileged to have the opportunity to communicate with readers from all across the world and knowing I inspire people with my work.

Thank you.
