I went to NY with three of my best friends in March 2012, meaning just a little over a year ago. I still haven't posted
much of the photos I took turing the amazing trip, so I found out it's about time I share them with you. All the photos
are shot by me, unless specified - and they are great memories from a great trip! We - meaning; Katharina, Synnøve
and I - left Oslo for NY March 16th and met up with Katinka in NY. Katinka studies in Charlottesville, Virginia. We spent
6 days in NY and 4 days in Virginia at Katinka's place. The trip was actually very spontaneously planned. It all started
with me finding out that one of my favorite bands, Sons of Bill, would have a concert in their hometown, Charlottesville!
I told Katinka they would play in the town she studies in - and for fun i started playing with the thought of flying to NY, spend
a couple of days there, before going to Charlottesville to see both Sons of Bill play AND visit Katinka! I had been dreaming
about going to NY for a long time, I've wanted to visit Katinka in Virginia and I really wanted to see Sons of Bill
LIVE! And how amazing it would be to see them play on the local theatre in their hometown! This was just an opportunity
I couldn't miss! And how lucky was I that my two amazing girls also decided to come with me! So here's some of
the photos from our days in NY. I'll be sure to post some more later, and some from Charlottesville as well. Ah, I miss traveling.

I don't think I would be able to describe what I felt when this photo was taken. The girls were so incredibly patient
this day, and gave me all the time I wanted to go wild at a Victoria's Secret store, before I spent a couple of
hours at the Apple Store on 5th Avenue and at the dawn of the day we spent quite some time at Sam Ash Music
Store, where I found the guitar of my dreams. I couldn't live with myself leaving it behind, so after checking
with the bus company we were going to travel with to Charlottesville, that I would be able to get it on the bus, I
ran back to the store with the girls right behind (even though they were tired, hungry and struggling with blisters)
and bought it with the biggest smile on my face. The girls were so happy for me, and I can't thank them enough for
being so amazingly patient for me on our last day in New York. If I didn't express my gratitude enough this day,
girs: THANK YOU! You're the best, and it meant the world to me!
This is it for now - have a lovely sunday afternoon.
xx,
RP.
